A composite door is made from multiple materials to provide excellent strength, insulation, security, and durability.
The Apeer70 is the only triple-glazed composite door on the market. The glazing units are 48mm thick instead of the normal 24mm or 28mm on double-glazed units, giving a centre pane U-value of only 0.7 W/m2K and achieving an A++ rating for energy efficiency.
So, when you compare an Apeer door to a uPVC door or timber-core door, an Apeer A++ Door is proven to save you money over the lifecycle of the door.
With home heating energy prices skyrocketing, Apeer is a door for the times we’re living through. No matter how you heat your home – gas, electricity, or oil – it’s costing you a lot more.
At KRB, we can’t do anything to bring that cost of energy down, but we can stop precious heat escaping through the biggest opening in your home.
Also available as a Stable Door.
Please note that to achieve the full A++ energy efficiency rating, this door requires an optional upgrade in which we place a sheet of low-emissivity, energy-saving Low E Glass either side of our triple-glazing unit, with our decorative glass in the middle. Obscure glass is not available in A++ doors.
Woodgrain Finished Options
You can choose to have an authentic woodgrain finish whether you choose white, black or an authentic wood colour. You can also specify white on the inside of your frames and a woodgrain on the outside.
Dual-colour is a popular choice and reflects traditional frames where the outside is painted a different colour to the interior, allowing for greater flexibility in interior decorating.
