This wonderful garden room in East Molesey replaced two rotting sheds and is actually two rooms in one huge framework – a perfect home office, and a garden workshop, both fully insulated and with fused power and hard-wired internet. As with all our garden rooms of this nature (with a ‘flat’ roof), we installed a totally waterproof fibre-glass outer shell, so there is no worry about felt cracking and leaking in a few year’s time.
This garden room was built with a treated-timber frame on a reinforced concrete slab base (once we had cleared and prepared the ground), with a full damp-proof course and six inches of wall, floor and ceiling rockwool insulation. Windows come from our uPVC Slim Sash range, with doors from our single uPVC and French Door ranges.
Power sockets and low-energy LED lights placed exactly where the client wanted them, exterior lighting recessed into the roof overhang, sealed-unit internal window blinds, and stone slabs to the client’s spec finished off the job perfectly.
